STAINING YOUR NEWLY SANDED FLOOR
Whatever colour you are looking to achieve, we are sure to be able to
match it. We use Colron Wood Dye which leave the timber looking natural as all
grain and variation is shown through the light fast stain. You can have an off
the shelf colour from a wide range, or let us create almost any colour or shade using our own
mixing methods.
Wood Dye is applied after sanding to the untreated surface by wiping it on with a cloth. Before we
start we can do a patch test and stain a small area to see the resultant colour. If the stain is too light or too dark
then we can remix it accordingly until we have the colour that you want. Staining wood is not an exact science as the
end colour is dependant on how light the wood is and how porous it is.
The stained floor is then left to dry for at least six hours, following which we will apply 2 coats of an oil based seal Granglaze.
GRANGLAZE is an extremely versatile finish recommended for use on all types of
hardwood strip, block and mosaic floors.
Offers excellent depth and natural colour enhancement to all types of wood.
Good resistance to most common chemicals, and is suitable for use in
domestic, commercial and educational establishments.
